Respect the Work

Every product, post, and piece of content on Gatekept belongs to the person who made it. Stealing, redistributing, screenshotting for resale, or claiming someone else's work as your own is not tolerated.

• Don't reupload, leak, or share paid content outside of Gatekept.
• Don't screenshot or screen record protected content.
• Don't sell content you didn't create.
• Credit matters. Give it where it's due.

Creators reserve the right to pursue legal action for theft of their work. We will cooperate fully.

Be Real

Impersonation, catfishing, and fake profiles are banned. Your account should represent you.

• Don't pretend to be another person, brand, or organization.
• Don't create misleading profiles to deceive buyers.
• Parody and fan accounts must be clearly labeled.

No Harassment

Gatekept is a creative space. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, and targeted abuse have no place here.

• Don't send threatening, abusive, or hateful messages.
• Don't target someone based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or identity.
• Don't dox or share someone's private information.
• Don't follow, stalk, or obsessively contact someone who has blocked you.

Content Standards

You can sell almost anything creative on Gatekept. But there are lines.

Not allowed:

• Content that sexualizes minors in any way. Zero tolerance.
• Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
• Content that promotes illegal activities or substances.
• Malware, phishing tools, or anything designed to harm others.
• Spam, low-effort reposts, or mass-generated AI content passed off as original work.

NSFW content:

Adult content is allowed on Gatekept, but it must be properly labeled. Creators must verify their identity and age through our ID verification system. NSFW content is hidden from users who haven't opted in. Unmarked NSFW content will be flagged and may result in strikes.

Selling Rules

If you're selling on Gatekept, you're running a business. Act like it.

• Only sell things you have the right to sell.
• Your product descriptions must be honest. Don't mislead buyers about what they're getting.
• Don't use fake reviews, inflated download counts, or bought followers.
• Price your work fairly. Intentional price manipulation to game the system is not allowed.
• Deliver what you promise. Scamming buyers results in an immediate ban.

Spam and Manipulation

Gaming the system ruins it for everyone. Don't do it.

• Don't create multiple accounts to boost engagement or sales.
• Don't use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the platform.
• Don't mass-follow, mass-like, or mass-comment for visibility.
• Don't spam messages, comments, or posts.

Reporting and Moderation

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. Every report is reviewed by a real person.

• Use the report button on any profile, product, post, or message.
• Don't abuse the report system. False reports are treated as violations.
• Reported content is temporarily hidden while under review.

Our strike system: Strike 1 is a warning. Strike 2 is a shadow ban (your content is hidden from discovery). Strike 3 is a permanent ban. Serious violations can skip straight to a ban.

Privacy and Safety

Everyone deserves to feel safe on the platform.

• Don't share someone's personal information (real name, address, phone number, etc.) without their consent.
• Don't share private messages or conversations publicly.
• Respect DM privacy settings. If someone has their messages closed, don't try to find workarounds.
• Don't send unsolicited explicit content in messages.

Intellectual Property

Respect copyrights and trademarks.

• Don't upload content that infringes on someone else's copyright.
• Don't use someone else's brand, logo, or trademarks without permission.
• If you receive a DMCA takedown notice, we will act on it. Repeat offenders are banned.

If you believe your work has been stolen, use the report button or contact us directly. We take this seriously.

Enforcement

We enforce these guidelines consistently. Here's what can happen if you break them:

• Warning — a notice that your content or behavior violated a guideline.
• Content removal — the violating content is taken down.
• Shadow ban — your content is hidden from discovery, trending, and search.
• Suspension — temporary loss of access to your account.
• Permanent ban — your account is removed. This is not reversible.

The severity of the action depends on the violation. Some things, like content that sexualizes minors, result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to law enforcement. No warnings, no appeals.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you can appeal. Contact us through the contact page with your username and an explanation.

Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the one who made the original decision. We'll get back to you, but it may take a few days.

The Bottom Line

Gatekept exists to give creators a real platform to sell their work and build something. Keep it that way.

Be honest. Be respectful. Make good things. That's it.
